About Felix Rohatyn

Former managing director at the investment banking firm Lazard Freres & Co. LLC, and from 1975 to 1993, chairman of the Municipal Assistance Corporation of the State of New York, Felix Rohatyn managed the negotiations that enabled New York City to resolve its financial crisis. From 1997 to 2000, he served as U.S. ambassador to France. A frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books, his book Bold Endeavors: How our Government Built America and Why it Must Rebuild it Now, was recently published by Simon and Schuster.
