French author and journalist, Philippe Labro, discusses his love affair with America.
About Philippe Labro
In 1954, at age 18, Philippe Labro left his native France to study at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, thus igniting his life-long love affair with the United States. His experiences as a young foreign exchange student form the basis of his novel, L'Etudiant etranger (published in English as "The Foreign Student"), which won the prestigious Prix Interallie in 1986. He has worked as a newspaper and radio journalist, written and directed several critically acclaimed films, and is the author of numerous books, most recently the novel "Les Gens."
Philippe Labro discusses the Franco-American relationship on Charlie Rose.
