Jean-Benoît Nadeau, co-author, with Julie Barlow, of The Bonjour Effect: The Secret Codes of French Conversation Revealed, speaks about their book, which was shortlisted for last year's LIbrary Book Award. In the book they explore various aspects of French life, from administrative red tape to cultural fluency. Even for longtime residents this promises to be an interesting conversation.

nadeauJean Benoît Nadeau a regular contributor to L’actualité (Canada’s national French language magazine), and a columnist with Montreal daily Le Devoir, he is among the few Canadian journalists who publish in French (Québec Science, Geo, L’Express) and in English (The New York Times, The International New York Times, The Toronto Star). He and his wife are the authors of Sixty Million Frenchmen Can't Be Wrong, The Story of French, and The Story of Spanish.
