Join us on Saturday 25 April for the first ever Teen Author Smash. There will be Q&As, prize giveaways, games, snacks, and a signing. Win books, bookmarks and other goodies. You'll get a chance to meet the authors below:

Teen Author Smash co-organizer Amy Plum; Lenore Appelhans; Brodi Ashton; Jeanette Battista; Jessica Brody; Tera Lynn Childs; Zoraida Cordova; Bree Despain; Corinne Duyvis; Kevin Emerson; Molly Harper; JR Johannson; Morgan Matson; Claire Merle; Kate Ormand; Crystal Perkins; Mark Pett; Tom Pollock; Lissa Price; Carina Rozenfeld; Lori Ann Stephens; Amy Tintera; Tioka Tokedira and Emma Trevayne.

That's right: over two dozen authors will be converging on the Library for this event, which will celebrate the wide range of writing in young adult literature: from first-time authors to those with several books on the shelves; from those who taught themselves to write to those who have graduate degrees in writing; from 5 different countries; both male and female writers; and including several genres of YA, both traditionally and self-published. As our co-organizer Amy Plum says: "the awesomeness will be overwhelming."

The American Library in Paris is a focal point for exceptional programs and performances designed to inspire, inform and enrich the community. Programs are presented at The Library in conjunction with community organizations and local individuals such as author Amy Plum, co-organizer of the Teen Author Smash.

This event will include a signing with the authors present. Guests are asked to bring no more than one book per author for the signing. Books will also be available for purchase at the event courtesy of WH Smith. If you’re worried there won’t be enough of your favorite authors’ books, you can pre-order titles from W.H. Smith Paris. Let them know it’s for this event.

This event is open to Library members and non-members alike. For this event the Library is suggesting a donation of 10€ (5€ for students) to help fund programs. If you plan on buying a book, the donation can be waived (unless you wish to support the Library).

No advance registration is required for this event, however seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
