Calendar of Events

This exhibit showcases a sampling of this Boston artist and illustrator's work over the past year. Most of the paintings on paper have come directly from the artist's sketchbooks and are focused on two themes: "Crystal Cities" are whimsical and decorative meditations using line and color that take the shape of cathedrals and castles. This series includes several intricately drawn and theatrical paper sculptures.

The other portion of the exhibit focus on paintings for children's picture book projects. Elegant or even crude in execution, Dunlavey's illustrations directly convey a warmth and depth that respects his subject and the viewer.
