Individual gifts, in the form of direct contributions to the Library, can be made at any time. Among the significant fundraising efforts during the year are autumn and spring appeals to members and friends.

Make a donation – your help is vital to us

Nearly half of the Library’s income each year comes from gifts, grants and other contributions. That is why the regular support of members and friends is essential in ensuring the health and vitality of the Library as it celebrates it 90th year of service in Paris.

With Your Help We Can Do Great Things

Here are a few of the things we were able to do in the last two years thanks to your financial support:

The Library expanded its main reading room by 50 percent, launched Monday book groups for its members, celebrated Babar in the presence of Laurent de Brunhoff, presented more than 200 programs for children and teenagers, added a new projection and sound system for public events, hosted a kids’ spelling bee and a family game day, added new computer terminals, tables and couches to the reading room, redesigned our website and launched an electronic newsletter, hosted acting and writing workshops for teens, and put more than 50 volunteers to work at essential Library services.
