Young writers ages 9+ are invited to experience Cathy's unique teaching style in a fun 90 minute workshop. Kids will invent unexpected characters to populate the strangest of settings, concoct revolutionary plots, turn colors inside out, and much more.

Cathy Altman Nocquet made a career of creative thinking while working in international advertising as a writer and strategist. Her after-school creative writing workshops are based on offbeat, inspiring exercises that help develop kids' creative thinking over the long term. Once students recognize the ideas from their "fertile factories" are boundless, writing becomes a delight.

Cathy will lead the creative writing program at the Ecole Koenig American Conservatory summer session July 4-14, before resuming her popular workshops in Paris next September. For additional information about her work, please email
