Description

Is your child about to start CP (1st Grade) at the rentrée or within the next few years?

Within the French education system, the transition from maternelle or pre-school is an exciting and huge step for children.  This year begins their formal education and the learning of reading and writing in French.  A panel of education professionals, including CP teacher Christine Gascou and clinical psychologist Mia Vieyra, will present information about the national curriculum, classroom routine, homework, bilingualism, literacy training, and adjustment and special needs concerns. In addition, parents of pupils currently or recently enrolled in CP will talk about their experiences with various French schools.

As the event is organized biennially, if your child is set to graduate from maternelle or has just another year to go, now is the perfect time for you to attend.
The American Library in Paris is a focal point for exceptional programs and performances designed to inspire, inform and enrich the community. Free programs are presented @The Library in conjunction with community organizations such as AAWE and MESSAGE.
