Description
The journalist, historian, novelist and literary columnist presents his new novel, Death in Bordeaux.
About Allan Massie
The author of over 30 books, Allan Massie was born in Singapore and brought up in Scotland. After reading history at Cambridge University he taught for fifteen years in Scotland and Rome. He has worked as an author and journalist since the mid-1970s. His most recent books are Surviving, a novel set in contemporary Rome, a family history called The Royal Stuarts, and a murder mystery, Death in Bordeaux. He is currently working on a sequel to it and on a non-fiction book about France 1940-2000, entitled The Spectre of Vichy. He writes a political column for The Scotsman and a literary one for The Spectator. He and his wife have three grown-up children and one granddaughter, and live in the Scottish Borders with dogs, cats, horses and hens.
