American journalist and essayist Ted Stanger presents his new book, Sacrées Vacances! Une obsession francaise.

About Ted Stanger

Ted Stanger grew up in Ohio and studied at Princeton University where he earned a BA in English literature. He began as a reporter for United Press International's Paris bureau and then worked for the Miami Herald, a Florida daily newspaper. In 1981, he became bureau chief for Newsweek magazine serving in four locations: Bonn, Rome, Jerusalem and finally Paris.

His first book in French, Sacrés Français!, became a bestseller in 2003, staying on the charts for four months. He followed this up with three more bestsellers, Sacrés Américains!, Sacrés Français le roman!, and Sacrés fonctionnaires!

His newest book, Sacrées Vacances! explores that most cherished of French traditions: the vacation.

Ted appears frequently on French media, mainly to discuss French and American issues. He is married and has two children. Ted's books are published in French, and this presentation will be in English.
