About Joe Ashby Porter

Joe Ashby Porter is a professor at Duke and he has written academic works such as Shakespeare's Mercutio and The Drama of Speech Acts under his name Joseph A. Porter. He also writes literary fiction, including novels Eelgrass, Resident Aliens, and The Near Future, and the collections The Kentucky Stories, Lithuania: Short Stories, Touch Wood: Short Stories, and All Aboard: Stories. Tonight he will talk about both aspects of his writing.
