Description

blog1Are you a writer or illustrator? Maybe you've been thinking about starting a blog, you know you need a top notch website, you don't have time for Twitter or Facebook but you do understand they're necessary evils and you want to be further on your way when 2012 rolls in. This is the event for you.

We'll cover the basics and the fancy stuff, including why it's important for authors and illustrators to have a social media strategy and some of the tools: web design, blogs, Twitter/Facebook/Skype and Apps/Becoming Your Own Publisher. Don't forget to bring your laptops, your ideas and your questions.

This presentation will be focused on how writers and illustrators can benefit from social media, not a general discussion on social media for business.
The American Library in Paris is a focal point for exceptional programs and performances designed to inspire, inform and enrich the community. Free programs are presented @The Library in conjunction with community organizations such as the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) France.
