Joan Nathan, author of ten cookbooks presents her latest book Quiches, Kugels and Couscous: My Search for Jewish Cooking in France.
What is Jewish cooking in France? In a journey that was a labor of love, Joan Nathan traveled the country to discover the answer and, along the way, unearthed a treasure trove of recipes and the often moving stories behind them.
About the author
Joan Nathan was born in Providence, Rhode Island. After receiving a masters degree in French literature from the University of Michigan, she earned another masters degree in public administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. She was one of the founders of New York's Ninth Avenue Food Festival. Nathan was also the executive producer and host of Jewish Cooking in America with Joan Nathan, a PBS series based on her cookbook, Jewish Cooking in America.
